Chapter 11: The Community Comes Together
Inspector Verma was impressed by the children’s wisdom and decided to try their approach. He met with Mr. Sharma privately, who was initially scared but grateful when he learned that the police understood his motivations.
The FACT Team helped organize a community meeting at the Clock Tower. They invited both wealthy and poor families, explaining how neighbors had been helping neighbors anonymously, and proposing a formal way to continue this spirit of community support.

Amily’s parents were among those who attended, and for the first time, they saw their daughter working confidently with children from all backgrounds. Her father was so moved by her presentation about community service that he offered to be the first major contributor to the new fund.
Chaitra’s relatives, who had returned from Delhi, were amazed to see her speaking confidently and organizing the event independently. They realized they had been limiting her potential by doing everything for her.
Tiger’s clear, confident speech and his ability to connect with both adults and children impressed everyone. His parents were overjoyed to see their son’s transformation.
Faisal’s knowledge of the community’s needs and his natural leadership qualities earned him respect from families across all economic levels.
The Dehradun Community Care Fund was established with Mr. Sharma as its coordinator, working openly with volunteers to identify needs and distribute help transparently.

As their week in Landour ended and they prepared to return to their regular lives, the four friends sat one last time in Mrs. Sharma’s garden.
“We make a good team,” Amily said.
“The best,” agreed Chaitra.
“I never thought I’d be able to speak up like this,” Tiger marveled.
“And I never thought I’d work with people so different from me and feel so… complete,” Faisal added.
Mrs. Sharma joined them as the sun set behind the mountains. “You know, children, what you experienced in that special building wasn’t just magic for magic’s sake. It was preparation. There are many injustices in this world that need young people with your combined strengths to solve them.”
“You mean we could keep doing this?” Chaitra asked excitedly.
“The FACT Team could help solve more cases?” Tiger added.
“If you choose to,” Mrs. Sharma replied. “The building gave you each what you needed to become your best selves. Now it’s up to you to decide what to do with those gifts.”
The four friends looked at each other and simultaneously broke into grins.
“The FACT Team is officially in business,” Faisal declared.
“Ready to find facts, reveal truth, and fight injustice,” Amily added.
“One case at a time,” Chaitra concluded.
“Together,” Tiger finished.
As they made their pact under the starlit sky, none of them noticed the gentle golden glow that briefly surrounded them โ the same light from the mysterious building, confirming that their journey as a team was just beginning.
